Mold Remediation Checklist: What Most Companies Miss (And Why You Might Still Get Sick)

It's Mold Season — And Your Home's Small Maintenance Gaps Are Part of the Problem

It's July. Which means it's mold season.

Humidity's up. AC units are running nonstop, sweating condensation into places nobody checks. Cars sit in driveways getting cooked and then rained on. Roofs that held fine in April are suddenly not holding in June. And it's not just the obvious stuff — this is also the season your home's smaller maintenance items start failing without you noticing. Stucco cracks. Window seals and caulking that spent months expanding and contracting under direct sun finally give up and let moisture in. Nobody thinks to check a window seal. But the sun beating down all summer is exactly what breaks it down, and a broken seal is an open invitation.

If you've been symptomatic and can't figure out why the last few weeks have felt worse — this is why. Your environment didn't get more toxic overnight. It's just the season mold grows fastest, and your body knows it before your brain catches up.

We Cannot Have Rigid Systems in Healing: What 15 Years of CIRS Recovery Taught Me About Bio-Individuality

There was a stretch of time when I watched my kids regress off very treatments that were supposed to be helping them heal.

As a mom, you do everything right. You run the labs, follow the protocol, trust the practitioner, and make treatment decisions off the data in front of you. But sometimes there are gaps — false negatives, incomplete or incorrect data — and when that happens, your child doesn't move forward. They move backward.

These devastating regressions are more common than you'd think, and they're what sent me searching for answers the protocols I was using simply didn't have.

What I Pack While Traveling With Mold Sensitivity 🦠

I just had a significant mold hit. I'm heading to the CIRSx Conference anyway. Here's what I pack and how I make it safe.

This week I'm heading to Fort Lauderdale for CIRSx — the annual Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome conference, and the most cutting-edge gathering of mold and CIRS practitioners, researchers, and experts in the world.

I'll be honest with you about where I'm at: I just had a significant mold hit. 🤧

If You Aren't Filtering Your Air, Your Lungs ARE the Filter 🫁

You guys know I'm obsessed with all things detox — saunas, binders, anti-parasitics, clean water, you name it. But here's the reality: even the most elite supplement stack in the world can't outrun a toxic environment.

Think about it. You breathe roughly 20,000 times a day. 🤯

And if you aren't filtering your air, your lungs ARE the filter.

The Aries New Moon Fire, Parasites, and the Reality of What Your Body Literally Felt ✨

My Voxer and DMs have been blowing up this past weekend. It's truly been a war zone.

Everyone has been hitting me up with some seriously intense energy:

  • "Ashlee, I feel like I am losing my mind."

  • "I am raging at the world."

  • "I woke up in a cold sweat feeling so off."

  • "My gut feels super raw."

  • "I just raged at my kids... and then took a giant shit and I am better... wtf."

  • "I am waking up at 3am and my mind is racing."

  • "I knew that smell — that disgusting 'chemically' smell. It's coming up and out to leave."

😰😡😵‍💫

Do you want to know what's actually going on?

A Mother’s Fight: The Journey That Made Me a Healer

Some stories change you forever. This is mine.

Losing Tyler

Tyler’s struggle began the moment he entered this world. Born in October 2010, he had swallowed meconium and had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck four times. After being given Pitocin to speed up the process and a double epidural that left me unable to control my legs… let’s just say his birth did not go as planned.
